Switec Stepper Motor Division was founded in the ETA group during the early 1990‘s and set the standard for the automotive instrument cluster motors. Switec Stepper Motor Division became part of Microcomponents in year 2000 through the  merging of Universo, Michel and Switec.

Switec started with the series 300 stepper motors for automotive instrumentation which has evolved into today‘s X27 motor family.

In it‘s history, Switec has produced and sold over 500 million motors.

Engineering and R&D is located in Grenchen Switzerland and our production is in Zhuhai China.

Switec has a good reputation within the market and is very appreciated for its reliability and quality.

It is now JST’s task to continue and enhance the automotive stepper motor even further.
